Influenced by his older brothers, he begins listening to bands like Kiss, The Police, and Metallica at a very young age, which spark his interest in music.<\/p>\n

At the age of eight he starts to teach himself to play the guitar and a year later begins studying music theory and classical guitar.<\/p>\n

When he is seventeen years old he produces his first demos and starts playing music professionally, working as session guitar\/bass player, and collaborating with artists and producers like Bunbury and Howie B.<\/p>\n

In 2003, after joining as bass player in the backing band on tour with the second series of Spanish reality-show talent contest Operaci\u00f3n Triunfo, he and Mai Meneses start giving shape to what, a few years later, becomes duo Nena Daconte.<\/p>\n

In September, 2005, they self-release their first album, He Perdido los Zapatos, on their own record label, Daconte Music. Kim produces the album.<\/p>\n

One month later, Universal Music Spain signs the duo and launches this same album in March, 2006.<\/p>\n

The duo is awarded its first gold record in Spain (more than 70,000 copies sold) only a few months after its release. They also receive numerous awards, such as the 2006 Ondas Award for Best New Artist, two Premios de la M\u00fasica Awards (Best New Artist and Best New Author), Los40 Principales Award for Best New Artist 2006, Los N\u00fameros 1 de Cadena 100 Award for Best New Artist 2007, among others.<\/p>\n

Their second single, \u201cEn Qu\u00e9 Estrella Estar\u00e1\u201c, is chosen as the theme song for the Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a 2006 and stays at number one for five weeks on the country\u2019s main radio stations, such as Los 40 Principales and Cadena 100.<\/p>\n

The album takes them on tour for more than two years with more than 150 concerts, covering most of Spain and with two concerts in Berlin and Paris.<\/p>\n

Their second album, Retales de Carnaval (also produced by Kim), is released in September, 2008, and brings them more success. The album goes platinum in Spain (more than 80,000 copies sold), and their first single, \u201cTen\u00eda tanto que darte\u201c, receives two Premios de la M\u00fasica Awards (Best Song and Best Video, directed by Marc Lozano\/Nanouk Films). The single stays at number one for two weeks on the \u201cDel 40 al 1\u201d list by Spanish radio station Los 40 Principales, and becomes the top-selling song on iTunes Spain in 2008.<\/p>\n

After touring for more than a year and playing more than 90 concerts (the last one in Buenos Aires), the duo decides to split up.<\/p>\n

Since then, Kim focuses on creating Wicked Sound, his own recording studio in Barcelona and continues recording bands and artists such as Georgina, with whom he produces several songs from the Rara album (Warner Music Spain, 2012 ) and Dilema (Warner Music Spain, 2015) or also Pablo L\u00f3pez. Together they receive 2 gold records for the two albums Once Historias Y Un Piano and El Mundo Y Los Amantes Inocentes. The Spanish artist also receives numerous awards as New Artist on the country\u2019s main radio stations and is nominated for Best New Artist in the 15th Latin Grammy Awards in 2014.<\/p>\n

In the 17th Latin Grammy Awards, El Mundo Y Los Amantes Inocentes receives two new nominations: one for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album, and another goes to Kim Fanlo for Producer of the Year.<\/p>\n

Kim is currently musical director and guitarist of El Mundo Tour, with 100 concerts covering all of Spain and including cities like Buenos Aires, Santiago, Mexico City, New York and Las Vegas, joining Juanes to open the ceremony of the 17th Latin Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n

Camino, Fuego y Libertad (Universal Music Spain, 2017), the third album produced by Kim for Pablo L\u00f3pez, achieves double platinum for the sales of more than 80,000 copies, receives a new nomination at the 19th edition of the Latin Grammys for Best Contemporary Vocal Pop Album, as well as the 40 Principales Award for best song of the year for \u201cEl Patio\u201d, which also rises to the top, reaching number 1 on the list \u201cFrom 40 to 1\u201d of the same station.<\/p>\n
